Chinese supply chain solution providers Jayud Global Logistics announced the launch of new routes connecting Shenzhen with locations in Indonesia and the Philippines.

This action follows the signing of a strategic agreement with China Central Airlines in the second quarter of 2023.

The new charter service will run on a weekly basis, transporting commodities between Shenzhen and Jakarta, Indonesia (CGK), Davao City, Philippines (DVO), and Clark Philippines (CRK).

Xiaogang Geng, Chairman & CEO of Jayud emphasised Jayud’s commitment to the southeast Asian market.

Xiaogang said: “We are thrilled to expand our network to these strategically significant destinations. This new charter service further solidifies our commitment to the Southeast Asian market and enables us to better serve our customers by providing direct, seamless logistics solutions.”

The service will be facilitated by Boeing’s B737-300F and B737-800F aircraft, which feature a maximum weight restriction of 20 tonnes per flight.

Jayud has stated that the aircraft can deliver a wide range of cargo, including general retail, high-value items, and food products.

The ASEAN e-commerce logistics industry is one of the fastest-growing in the globe, with a current market size of USD 5.43 billion and an expected CAGR of more than 14.5% during the projected period, noted Jayud.
