Quadratica provides software that allows trainers to train security screening staff. Our X-Screen advanced simulation system has the ability to build complete bags from scratch, which are still x-ray correct, erasing the need for bulky image libraries
and time-consuming bag captures.

X-Screen is the foremost security x-ray image-recognition training product in the world. This screening simulation tool incorporates features including:

  • Adaptive learning
  • X-ray correct ‘Build-a-Bag’
  • An instant library update feature to adapt to changing regulations
  • Lesson builder
  • Course builder
  • Curriculum delivery (secure host)
  • Session analysis and reports
  • Internet-hosted service
  • Induction through advanced training and testing
  • Hi-fidelity photo-realistic interfaces

Internet-hosted x-ray image recognition training

X-Screen is available to users on the internet. This means that the traditional classroom system is now not the only option for trainers and budget need no longer be a constraint on delivering high-quality training. Intelligent cache-management means
that the system is just as usable remotely as it is locally, regardless of your connection speed.

100% x-ray correct screening

Every image of an item that is displayed within X-Screen is 100% x-ray correct. Working closely with x-ray machine manufacturers and industry professionals, we have created a system that is unparalleled anywhere in the world.

Construct your own bags, lessons and courses

X-Screen’s ability to create bespoke bags using individual articles allows trainers to build custom bags, create lessons and subsequently assemble courses tailored to their own specific needs.

Inserted items determine bag disposal decisions

Instead of using traditional pre-built bags that are either pass or fail, X-Screen’s bag builder module gives the trainer the ability to create bags with a wide range of threat and non-threat items from X-Screen’s perpetual library of
items.

User-configurable

X-Screen’s administration module allows the trainer to configure the whole of the system to suit their individual needs. Scoring, difficulty levels, lesson generation, machine type, personnel information and reporting are all included in this
module.

From induction to advanced training

X-Screen recognises the users’ strengths and weaknesses and adapts the training to suit. From the first training lesson, the users’ scores are recorded and X-Screen can adapt their training to help develop the users’ weak areas while still maintaining the correct training regime.

All major x-ray machine interfaces simulated

X-Screen can simulate all the major x-ray machine manufacturers’ interfaces. The systems processing engine displays the correct interfaces and x-ray images that relate to the specific machines at the press of a button, as well as our own generic
training interface. For each x-ray machine that is simulated, a high fidelity user interface is produced. These interfaces are an exact replica of the keypads used on the machines. You will not find a better interface on any system, anywhere.

Classroom or stand-alone training

Classroom configurations are the best option for training large groups of students. Delivered by a common server, each student machine has only the minimum of system software installed for maximum performance and minimum installation.

Security screener courseware

An HTML-based security screener training course is available for trainers to use with their training curriculum. This course covers operating checkpoints and x-ray screening through to carrying out trace detection and physical searches.

X-Screen has been directly developed from the product in use by the Transport Security Administration (TSA) in the US.

The system is also available through the Airports Council International (ACI). Quadratica (UK) is pleased to be able to say that X-Screen has been selected as part of the ACI global training hub.
